Cat Eye

Hello my loves!

Today I decided to do a cat eye look for my casual Saturday! Here are the products that I used:

I started off moisturizing my face with Cetaphil

I followed that with my favorite lip balm EOS

After the moisturizer dried up, I applied my foundation - Revlon's Photo Ready in Rich Ginger

Next, I apply my concealer - Maybelin's Instant Age Rewond in Medium

I lined my eye with an eye shadow primer to ensure that my heavy eyeliner will stay in place - ELF Eye Primer

To complete the face makeup, I applied a powder foundation - Loreal's True March in Sun Beige

I later decided that I would add some eye shadow before applying my dramatic eyeliner, so I went ahead and applied a brown eye shadow onto my crease - MAC Folie

On my lid and brow bone, I added a softer toned eye shadow - NYX Highlight

I, then, went ahead and applied my eyeliner, extending the wing - NYC Liquid Eyeliner

I used a pencil eyeliner to fill in my water line - Starlet Pencil Eyeliner

Now that the eyeliner is drawn on, I applied mascara on both the top and bottom lashes - Benefits They're Real

Moving up to the eyebrows, I lightly filled them in using brow powder - Jordana Brow Powder Dup

Since the eyes are the focal point for this look, I decided to skip the blush, but still decided to contour and highlight - NYC Sun n' Bronze

Giving time for the mascara to dry, I go back with.an eyelash curler for my eyelashes to hold the curl - Loreal's Eyelash Curler

Last, but not least, I decided to go with a bubble gum pink color lip because I couldn't find my purple lipstick!

The look is def universal and you can wear any blush and/or lipstick with it!

Hope you all enjoyed! I will be putting together some party stuff for a baby shower tomorrow, so I will be posting pictures of that soon!

2014's Calendar

My gorgeous readers,

I have been in a whirlwind of duties that have been occupying my attention. As I mentioned in my first post, I am really interested in pursuing a career in Wedding and Event Planning. With that said, I have been fortunate enough to have four events (that will take place between February 2014 - July 2015) that I will help plan. I was anxious to share this with you all because I really want you all to join me on this journey of planning all of these events.

My first event is a friend's baby shower. She is having a boy and, due to the fact that her nursery room will be elephant theme, her mother-in-law decided the theme of the shower should be just that! Here is an image of the concept/ideas that we are heading towards:

The colors are yellow, gray and turquoise (to add a bit of blue since it is a boy!).

The next event that I will help host is my sister-in-laws bridal shower! Her sister, as her maid of honor, decided that a tea party would be cute and fun, therefore, we decided to lean more towards the Mad Hatter Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland!!! I love the funkiness of this theme and crazy and mismatching everything is, yet it manages to flow!

Since her sister is in Arizona, and the bridal shower will take place here in California, I offered to be her hands and feet here so that she does not have to travel with 20+ luggage filled with decorations.

mad hatter tea party! love the chairs.

This is an image that will guide our decoration ideas (soooooo colorful!)

The last two of my events will take a bit longer to explain and elaborate on the themes since they are both weddings. As you all know, due to the tasting post, my sister will be getting married, but not until 2015. Her planning process has begun, but none of the fun stuff (yet) since she's just been looking into churches and venues.

The second wedding that I have will be in October of this year. I am excited about this one because it will be outdoors, getting the view of the Golden Gate Bridge here in San Francisco, CA!!! Again, the contract with the venue is in it's final steps, and afterwards, we can begin to start looking into the creative/decorative details!

Hope you all enjoyed my post and I will keep you all updated with the status of these events! If you have any ideas, feel free to post them below.

Happy 2014!

Happy New Years my fellow readers! I know I have been slacking off on my posts lately, but I have been really busy and got SICK not too long ago. Anywho, I wanted to share with you all the fashion trends that we will all be seeing in 2014!
TREND #1: Tea Length Skirt

Move aside mini-skirts, the ladies are going longer with their choice of skirt! I love the playfulness in them because they do not necessarily have to be loose and floppy.

TREND #2: Sweater Dressing

I knew this trend would return! I am a freak about sweaters and cardigans because they are easy to wear and dress up or down.

TREND #3: Tuxedo Meets Athletic Stripe

Now, this isn't the first time that I have seen this trend (I saw it in 2013), but it didn't quite launch off. I love the look because it is clean and edgy enough to make it your own!

TREND #4: The Shift Blouse

By far my favorite 2014 trend!!! I am obsessed with the structure of these tops. Although, I realize that they do not help us "un-curvy" women, pairing this top with tighter, skinny bottoms will give us a more flattering look.

There are more 2014 Runway Fashion Trends on Glamour Fashion's website so please go check them out!

Until next time!
