Welcome August

August is finally here and for me, it is filled with plenty of events and fun adventures with family and friends! I have really enjoyed sharing with you all the events that I have taken place in helping decorate and host throughout the month of July.

Lucky for me, it does not end there! On Sunday is the highly anticipated PRINCESS PARTY for my beautiful niece. Followed by an Owl themed 1st birthday party/Baptism and a Lego theme 6th Birthday party for my cousin!!! So many fun, crafty events ahead and I cannot wait to share them with you.

Lastly, I am working on getting a Youtube channel up to make these tutorials much easier to understand, as you all will be able to watch each step closely.

Thanks for all the support and Happy Birthday to all of the August babies!!

Oh Boy!

Hello my beautiful viewers!

I am so happy to finally show you all everything that I have been working on these past few weeks! My cousin and his wife are expecting their first baby boy and this "Little Man" theme could not have been more fitting. Below are pictures of the baby shower decor:

The bags were filled with the prizes that were given out for the individuals who won each game.

Candy jars can be filled with anything your heart desires! In this case it was gorgeous silk flowers.

Now, the anticipation for this little man to arrive!

Princess Party

Hello My Beautiful Viewers!

Finally I completed the project I was working on (pertaining to my sneak peek) and I am soooo excited to share with you all how I made these gorgeous invitations.

Lets get started!

I used the Cricut to cut out the star, and once it was cut out, I worked directly from my computer to line up the text to fit perfectly in the center of the cutout.

(Paper from Michael's)

After printing and cutting out the stars, I applied a thin outline of pink glitter by using a glue glitter with a thin applicator wand. This process took the longest because I wanted all of the sides have the same thickness of glitter glue.

(Glitter Glue by Studio G - Michaels)

For the next step, I listed the products needed:

(Lollipop Sticks)

(Glue Gun)

I measured the length of the stick to the size of the star and (to my likings) glued it down using the hot glue gun.

Two steps that I missed to take pictures of:
  1.  Repeat the first two steps with the information of the event so that you can glue it on the reverse side and hide the lollipop stick
  2. Purchase any ribbon of your choice, tie a knot and/or bow onto the stick, and glue it a bit for it to stay in place
Your finished product should look like the image below!

I had an immense amount of fun putting these princess invitations together,

Hope you all enjoyed this DIY!

Sneak Peek

Today I wanted to share with you a sneak peek of the next project that I am working on! I will give you all a little hint, it involves princess and glitter (because that is what my niece is completely obsessed over).

Now that I have gotten your attention for my next blog post, I wanted to bring up something that I have been thinking of doing for a while now. I have always admired women/men that turn on the camera and start talking directly to it (or their viewers) about various topics. Personally, I am really shy, more so in front of a camera!

Since I have been, slowly but surely, overcoming my fear of blogging for the world to see, I have been thinking of really pushing it another step further. By that I mean, starting my own YouTube channel sharing with you all my life passion and personal "randomness"!

I promised myself I would do this after receiving over 1,000 views on my blog, but I have not convinced myself to do it!!! Please let me know if you all would enjoy live tutorials or not, or both a blog post and live tutorials maybe?

Thanks for your support!

One Day I Will Have a Mustache!

Over the weekend I created a number of baby shower invitations. I am very proud to say that I will soon have another baby nephew, come September! The theme to this baby shower is "Little Man" and it is the cutest thing that I have ever seen (since I am obsessed with BOWS!).

Here are the items you will need to recreate these invitations:
  • 5/8 in. Satin Ribbon (your choice of color)
  • Glue Gun
  • Lighter or Candle
  • Cricut Machine
  • Baby Steps Cartridge
  • Scissors
  • Any Color Cardstock Paper
Prep:
I cut 20 of the black satin ribbon at 5 in. length and an additional 20 at 1in. length.

Make sure to plug in your hot glue gun as soon as you start this process so it can be ready to go! Also, I decided to light a candle, and use that flame because it made the process much faster.

Lets BEGIN!

Step 1: I printed on a white piece of paper my desired text for the baby shower invite and them put it through my Cricut Machine using the Baby Steps cartridge. The dye cut machine perfectly cut out the onesie's for me!

Step 2: Since I had my ribbons cut and ready to be used for this project, I quickly ran the edges through a flame to eliminate any fabric fallout.

(Pre-flame exposure)
 (Post-flame exposure)

Step 3: I forgot to take pictures of this process, but hopefully my explanation will be just as useful. I placed the ribbon upside-down onto a hard surface and poured a line of glue in the center of the ribbon. Then you fold both of the edges into the center to create a "bow-like" shape. After the glue is dried, fold the center of the bow and glue it together. At this point, the bow should be taking it's form. Next, grab the 1 in. piece of ribbon (previously cut) and glue one end to the back of the bow and let it dry. Lastly, wrap it around and glue the other end to the back of the bow. And just like that, you should have a Bow Tie!

Step 3: Once your bows are all done, simply glue them (with the hot glue gun) onto the onesie cutout.

Since my onsie was a bit small, I was unable to add the registry information onto it. I created this little card and decided it would be cute to add a mustache on it to give it that "Little Man" affect!

Hope you all enjoyed my first DIY invitation!

Decor: Bathroom Re-do

Let's take a moment to say hello to June and the Summer time!

Ok, I have been wanting to transform or update my bathroom for quite some time now, but I couldn't find the time to do it.

FINALLY, I got a little free time and went to 3 different stores to get all that I needed to change most of the decor in my bathroom!

From Ross, I picked up:

A shower liner for $3.99

Shower curtain hooks for $4.99

And a shower curtain that I thought would go best with my bathroom ($11.99)

After the stop at Ross, I went directly to target to find a few more things to complete this new look for my bathroom.

From there, I picked up:

A toothbrush holder for $9.99

Shower hooks for my luffa ($2.49)

And a shower curtain pole for $12.99

Once I picked up all of this, I still felt like I was missing something and sure enough I was! With 30 minutes to spare before TJ Maxx closed, I ran in and quickly grabbed a bath mat - $11.99

It was an exhausting day hopping from store to store for a small bathroom but well worth it!

Here are some before and after pictures of my bathroom.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

It even looks like a completely different bathroom!

I am so happy with the way it turned out and I cannot wait to continue sharing with you all my "remodeling" projects!
