Circus Circus!

Hello my beautiful viewers,

Summer time is here and I am so excited to share with you all this adorable baby shower theme. As soon as I found out that one of my friends and her sister were both having girls, another friend and I got to work and put together this cute circus baby shower. We had a really fun time bringing to life all of our creative ideas. Hope you all enjoy, details will be listed below the pictures!

The drum the ty monkey is sitting on is a plant pot hand-painted with a zig-zag design.

The centerpiece also included this clear cylinder vase filled with peanuts and topped with fresh flowers.
Flower: Costco | Cylinder Vase: Michaels | Label & Ribbon: Michaels
My favorite part, the favors! These plastic bags were filled with a hand-crafted soap bar to represent the gold fish you win at a circus/fair. We adorned with a ticket and sealed it with a bow.
Soap: Michaels | Tickets: Party City | Tablecloth: Joann & Party City
On to the desert table. Of course there is no such thing as a circus without popcorn, so we put these boxes together and made them baby shower appropriate - "Poppin' Soon"
Boxes: Etsy | Popcorn: Local Grocery Store
Lastly, we created the same stand as we did for the monkey (above) and found a cute cotton candy machine to display as an adorable prop.

All-White Party

Hello world!

I had the biggest pleasure to plan, execute, and host my sister's bridal shower in April, and it was the BEST experience! The theme was All-White party, per request of the bride-to-be. To our surprise, all of the guests showed up dressed in white from head-to-toe. We couldn't have planned it any better, and by "we" I am referring to my oldest sister and the MOH.

Here are a few pictures of the decorations at the event:

We rented this tent and request for them to drape it. I wish I had a closer picture of the chandelier that I created so you call could view the beautiful detailed work that went into making it.

Of course we had to display a dessert table for all the guests to enjoy after dinner. This display included all of the bride-to-be's favorite desserts (oreo's, kettle corn, donut holes, etc.).

Lastly, our sangria bar. I had gotten the idea from a mimosa bar that I saw on Pinterest and thought it was a great idea! We chopped up strawberries, apples, pineapples, and oranges to give the guest various options for their beverage.

Hope you love it as much as I did!

Interior Design

A few weeks ago, my friend asked me to help her with revamping her place. Of course I said YES and we went to quite a few stores to accomplish the subtle, yet warmth, feel of her home!

She has a really small place so I suggested that we went with lighter colors, since that is what helps make the place look (or seem) larger. To my benefit, the majority of her furniture was white!!! With a clean slate, I reviewed the color scheme that I thought would look best in her place and BAM, we made it happen!

Hope you all enjoy (:

Winter Wonderland

My most favorite time of the year is during the holiday season! The beautiful decorations, the cheer in everyone's faces and the unity of family and friends are some of many reasons that I love this season.

I had the honor, along with the beautiful women in my family, to put together a Winter Wonderland themed baby shower for my cousin (who moved over 300 miles away from us for college and never returned). We wanted to surprise her, so we had to plan strategically and select a date around the holidays so that we were certain that she would be here to visit.

As planned, two days after Christmas, my cousin invited her over for a spontaneous lunch at his house. When she showed up, we were all ready to surprise her, a little confused (because she thought we were all there for lunch), she reacted late, but nonetheless she loved everything!

The surprise did not stop there! As I mentioned above, she lived miles away from us now and her boyfriend was unable to accompany her for the holidays. Easy fix! We flew him over for the day so that he could spend a few hours with her during her baby shower celebration! She had no clue and burst into tears when she saw him walk into the party. Alas, the baby shower was complete!!!

Now that you all know the beautiful story behind this event, below are a few photos of the event.

Owl Always Love You

It was an honor to put together this colorful owl themed party for a beautiful little girl's first birthday! It was just in time for all of the stores that I visited to get rid of their summer décor and bring in the Halloween decorations (so I got most of this on sale).

Below are a few pictures of the centerpieces that I placed in each table that the guests would sit at for lunch. The beautiful flowers filled with bright colors added that sweet touch to the theme.

This was my favorite part of the decorations that I put together. I purchased wooden cutouts in the shape of an owl. I painted them, glued some eyes and a beak (heart shaped felt). I created the fluff of the wings with tissue paper.

More coffee table/lounging area décor.

Lastly, the beautiful cake and smash cake! Fit perfectly with the theme and color scheme.

Leaving August with a colorful event! Stay tuned to see what my next project consists of!

Haul: Loft, H&M, Forever 21

It had been a while since I last went shopping for myself. I honestly cannot remember the last time I shopped for so many fashion items. Anywho, last weekend I went on a mini getaway to Napa, CA and had the best time relaxing and enjoying the scenery. On my way back home, I stopped by the premium outlets that they had there in Napa and then proceeded to go to the mall afterwards. Below are details and photos of everything I picked up!

LOFT:

These two shirts below were "BOGO" so I picked up the coral color and the plum color. I thought it was perfect for the fall.

I also picked up this white sheer tank top because it is perfect for the Summer and would look really cute with a sweater or cardigan over it in the Fall.

H&M:

As you all previously saw on my blog, it was my little cousin's birthday (Lego Party), so I picked up this cute little outfit from H&M for him.

While waiting in the checkout line, I fell into the store's marketing scheme!! I picked up this pack of socks because...well you can never have too many!

I LOVEEE loafers and since my current black ones are getting worn out, I picked these cute ones up. Black goes with everything, so I'm glad I was able to find them in my size!

Forever 21:

One of my favorite shirts that I picked up was this "boxed" style top. The pattern/style is sooo cute and it is perfect to dress up or dress down.

The last stripped shirt that I bought (I promise! lol). I was eye-ing this top while I was shopping and decided I should just get it. I am trying to break out of my "comfort zone" in clothing styles and although this is a simple black & white stripped long sleeve, it will guide me towards purchasing colored pants to pair it with!

I own 1 pair of purple jeans since I was in high school and have never ONCE worn them!!! I want to but never had a top for them lol now I do!

How would I ever be able to leave this shirt behind? I am currently in the hunt for a burgundy cardigan to pair it with this top for the Fall/Winter.

Thumbs up for Frenchiesss!

Lastly, I picked up a few pair of jeans. I love the feel of these jeans, even though they only last me about 6-12 mo.! (Top Secret: They're only $7!)

Lets Build a Lego Party

At last, I get to share with you all the latest party that I had been working on!

Below is the cake table, decorated with colorful balloons and a detailed banner. Oh! and let's not forget about the Lego ninja pinata.

Now on to the details:

The utensils were placed in this cube created by using various sized legos. Cute touch to the simplicity of displaying utensils!

The centerpieces were created by using the same technique as the utensil holder, except we added a number 6 (for the age) and these cute cutouts of lego heads!

Cake table details:

We purchased these gift bags from our local craft store (lucky for us, they all came in one pack). We cut out 6 circles to place on each bag to mimic a lego piece. Lastly, we added a small tag that said "Thanks!" onto the handle of the bag.

We found these cute tins at our local craft store and decided we would fill them with lego candy and draw expressive faces on them!

They turned out to be a hit!

Lastly, the cake!

It was designed with no specific theme, just general lego. White cake with strawberry custard filling inside (if I may add)!
