Decor: Bathroom Re-do

Let's take a moment to say hello to June and the Summer time!

Ok, I have been wanting to transform or update my bathroom for quite some time now, but I couldn't find the time to do it.

FINALLY, I got a little free time and went to 3 different stores to get all that I needed to change most of the decor in my bathroom!

From Ross, I picked up:

A shower liner for $3.99

Shower curtain hooks for $4.99

And a shower curtain that I thought would go best with my bathroom ($11.99)

After the stop at Ross, I went directly to target to find a few more things to complete this new look for my bathroom.

From there, I picked up:

A toothbrush holder for $9.99

Shower hooks for my luffa ($2.49)

And a shower curtain pole for $12.99

Once I picked up all of this, I still felt like I was missing something and sure enough I was! With 30 minutes to spare before TJ Maxx closed, I ran in and quickly grabbed a bath mat - $11.99

It was an exhausting day hopping from store to store for a small bathroom but well worth it!

Here are some before and after pictures of my bathroom.

BEFORE:

Sink

Shower

AFTER:

Shower

It even looks like a completely different bathroom!

I am so happy with the way it turned out and I cannot wait to continue sharing with you all my "remodeling" projects!

Mini Mani

I have been attempting to grow out my nails for about 3 months and finally it seems to be working! I have a love/hate relationship with acrylic nails because they look so pretty but damage my real nails.

I decided to give myself a mini manicure to keep my nails presentable and keep away from biting them off.

Here is what you need:
1 - top coat
1 - base coat
1 - colored polish
1 - nail filer

Step 1: File your nails to your desired shape. My preference is squares.

Step 2: Carefully apply a base coat onto your nails. This step is critical because it helps to prevent the nail polish from staining your nail.

Step 3: After the base coat is dried, apply two coats of your preferred color of nail polish.

Step 4: The last coat of polish is a clear top coat. This will allow your nails to hold a perfect shine!

Step 5: (Optional) Once your nails are completely dry, wash them with soap and like warm water to get rid of any polish that leaked onto your skin.

DIY: I (Heart) You

Over the weekend I converted some picture frames into table numbers for a wedding that is happening this weekend! I am super excited for it, given that I am one of the bridesmaids AND it's my brother-in-law's wedding.

I must apologize in advance because I did not take all of the pictures that I will be posting (since I got super excited to paint).

Lets begin!

The items you will need to recreate this are:

1 - Picture Frame
1 - Foam Brush
1 - Acrylic Paint (color of your choice)
1 - Chalkboard Paint
1 - Fan (optional)

Step 1: Unwrap and clean off your picture frame.

Ikea ($1.99)

Step 2: Begin to paint your frame with the acrylic paint (I used Cloudless by Apple Barrel).

I do not have a picture of this, but since my picture frame was plastic, it took me 3 coats to completely eliminate the red color

Step 3: This particular picture frame came with a clear insert, therefore, I used that and painted it using chalkboard paint.

Since the insert was also plastic, I used 2 coats of this paint.

Michael's ($1.49)

Step 4: After everything has dried, assemble it and the frame should look something like this

I had so much fun transforming these frames, and I think they will look perfect on every table for the wedding this weekend!

Hope you all enjoy this mini DIY!

May Flowers

Hello May
HELLLLLO!

I chose this specific picture because I am happy to announce that May (this year) is my most favorite month!!! I will be graduating on Saturday and I could not be more excited about it. It has been a long and hard journey, but definitely worth the while. In addition to this amazing news in my life, May is filled with a tone of birthday's in my family (mom's, cousins, grandma, and in-laws). It could get a bit crazy, but i love the idea of spending a whole month alongside my family and friends.

Since I am finally out of school, I hope to bring you all everything I promised back in April! I am also thinking of starting a YouTube channel to let you all into my creative life and allow me to show you various tricks and ideas on homemade goodies for any event!

Love you all!

The month of April has definitely been a crazy one for me. For my new viewers, I finally finished school last week and will be graduating on Saturday with a Bachelors in Business Management. I am really excited for my new adventures and hope I can start bring more exciting posts in the future. I also must announce that my godson, Jayden, was born this morning at around 6am!!!! I am so excited to be a new aunt AND a first-time godmother.

So much exciting news packed into one month, right?

Welcome APRIL!

Hello My Lovely Viewers!
I wanted to welcome April yesterday, but due to school, I got nothing fun done! Here in California, the weather has stayed true to the famous quote "April showers, May flowers". Yesterday was a horrible rainy day for us, and it looks as if today, the rain has cleared up. Anywho, exciting news for this month is that I will have many arts and crafts and DIY posts for you all! I am currently planning my graduation party and would like to provide you all with some tips and tricks to make your events easy, low cost, and fun with DIY tutorials. I am also thinking of including a outfit of the day (OOTD) or mini hauls that include beauty and fashion! Super excited for this month and I hope to continue sharing more fun stuff with you all!!!!

Stay tuned...
